guest house giwa is a small, four-room guesthouse quietly nestled at the edge of Mishima’s downtown district.

Once a sushi restaurant closed for 13 years, it was reborn in 2022 as a space filled with wood warmth and the quiet rhythm of the town.

This “Breakfast Plan” lets you enjoy the flavor of Mishima’s morning right in the town itself.
We collaborate with two beloved local cafes, both within walking distance, to bring you authentic breakfasts that locals truly love.

You can choose between two options:

Togetsuen Japanese Café” (2 minutes on foot) and “Ono Coffee” (6 minutes on foot) — each offering a different charm.

At Togetsuen Japanese Café:

  • An Butter Toast Set — thick toast topped with homemade red bean paste and butter

  • Rice Porridge Set — a light, comforting way to start the day

As a century-old Japanese confectionery now operating a café, Usagien offers a peaceful morning atmosphere steeped in tradition. Enjoy a warm cup of tea and let the quiet morning unfold.

At Ono Coffee:

  • American Breakfast — toast, eggs, salad, and a drink

  • French Toast Set — fluffy and rich with a hint of sweetness

The aroma of freshly roasted coffee fills the wooden interior, creating a calm and cozy setting to begin your day.

Breakfast vouchers are provided upon check-in by our staff, who will also guide you to each café and share local recommendations.
Togetsuen opens from 9 AM (7 AM on weekends), and Ono Coffee from 7 AM.
You may visit either location at your preferred time.

After breakfast, take a stroll along Genbe River or visit Shirataki Park — places where Mishima’s clear spring water sparkles under the morning light.

At night, from 9 to 10 PM, the “BAR giwa” opens for a single hour.

Meeting locals in the evening and enjoying Mishima’s flavors the next morning — these two moments reflect the essence of giwa’s connection with the town.

Free Wi-Fi is available, and all shared facilities are kept clean and comfortable.
Rooms include “GOTEN” (Tatami), “GENBE” (Triple), “SAKURA” (Twin), and “HASUNUMA” (Single), each crafted with natural wood textures.

The perfect morning is not about luxury, but about calmness and connection.
The Breakfast Plan at guest house giwa invites you to taste not just food, but the town itself — one gentle morning at a time.
